File size is getting bigger and bigger. File with few hundred mega-bytes size is very common, espeically for those multi-media file. However, it is a problem when you distribute this large file. We will introduce you a useful software which can help you to split the file into small pieces. They are much easier to be sent throught email and share with friends.

GSplit is a file splitter tool that break the large file into a set of smaller files called pieces. It also supports different splitting methods, file corruption checking, logging. Most important, it is a freeware.

The generated pieces are "self executable" files. They can be run without Gsplit to combine the pieces and restore the original file.
